Tungsten (W)
Tungsten Wire, Rod, and Metalizing Filaments
Tungsten (W)
Tungsten is a dense, hard metal known for exceptional heat and wear resistance. It has the highest melting point of all elements (~3370°C), making it ideal for extreme-temperature applications.
Strong, conductive, and corrosion-resistant, tungsten is widely used in filaments, heating elements, high-speed tools, and aerospace and automotive components.
Rhenium Alloys supplies pure tungsten and alloys such as tungsten-copper and tungsten-rhenium, offering improved strength and ductility for demanding applications in electronics, furnaces, and aerospace.

Tungsten Products
Tungsten alloys serve a wide range of applications in electronics, furnace, joining, and aerospace industries. Precise alloying of Rhenium with these other refractory metals adds both ductility and strength to suit customer specifications.

Tungsten Wire Products
Rhenium Alloys provides a wide range of wire products to serve applications in major electronics products, thermocouples, high temperature furnace parts, and welding requirements.
Tungsten Wire, a precision wire, with its very high tensile strength even at a very small diameter, and good electrical conductivity is widely used for thermocouples, electronic devices, and lighting.
We also offer:
- Rhenium wire
- Molybdenum-rhenium wire
- Tungsten-rhenium wire
Tungsten Rod (Bar)
Refractory metal Tungsten rod (bar) products are available in a broad range of sizes (up to 6” in diameter) and customized solutions.
Metalizing Filaments
Rhenium Alloys is a leading supplier of metalizing filaments for vacuum metalizing and evaporation applications. Our filaments are engineered for consistent, high-quality thin film coatings used in automotive lamp reflectors, appliances, cosmetics, and specialized equipment.
We offer a wide range of coil designs, including single and three-strand, with or without aluminum core, and open or closed lay. Options include standard “Z” leg coils, as well as helix, conical, and cylindrical basket configurations.
Standard wire size is 3/030, with additional sizes available upon request.
Our high-quality tungsten filaments deliver excellent thermal conductivity for reliable performance and long service life. Expert on-site technical support is also available.
